Describes going to the Royal Albert Hall to see Tori Amos

What an evening!

Kate (step-mum) had organised tickets for us to go to see Tori Amos at the Royal Albert Hall tonight.  We arrived early to have dinner there in the Victoria room - we were the only customers in the restaurant, and while we ate I could hear Tori singing in the hall!  Very exclusive!

Our seats for the concert were in the front row!

The concert itself was great.  I'm not sure how much Kate enjoyed it, though - Tori had a band with her this time, and even some of her normally quiet songs were quite loud.  When she sang "These Precious Things" I think she may have been temporarily possessed by some demon from one of the deeper levels of hell, but luckily for my credibility with Kate some of the concert was just Tori and the piano, very nice.   Tori's parents were in the audience (!), and she sang "Winter", which has always been one of my favourites.  I think most of the songs tonight were from her new album.

If you have seen a Tori concert before, here are some answers to questions you might have:

I asked Kate how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall, and she told me 6000.   I'm not sure she understood the question, but there you have it.  :-)
